Medlen, 33, suffered severe head injuries when his Funny Car crashed during routine testing last Monday at Gainesville (Fla.) Raceway. He underwent a successful cranjectomy procedure on Tuesday, but his other major organs began to fail shortly thereafter due to the trauma.

Services for the six-time NHRA POWERade tour winner were held at Connection Pointe Christian Church, 1800 N. Green Street, in Brownsburg on March 28th.
