#1 Woman in Hot Rodding!!!

Hot Rod Magazine readers have crowned second-generation racer Ashley Force, the driver of the Darien & Meadows Top Alcohol Dragster, as their "Favorite Real Woman of Hot Rodding." Force, who was featured in the April 2005 issue of the popular magazine alongside 10 other female racers, was delighted to win.

"I am surprised and excited that I won," said Ashley, 22. "It’s great to be a part of the rising number of women pushing our way into racing."

Out of more than 15,000 votes cast, Force received nearly 50% of the votes from her devoted fans.

Coming off of a runner up finish at the Mac Tools Gatornationals, the California State University – Fullerton graduate is set to race her 3,000 horsepower A/Fuel dragster sponsored by Castrol, Hot Wheels, AAA, Ford and Mac Tools April 8-10 in at the 18th annual O'Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals in Houston.

Ashley started driving racecars when John gave her a weekend at Frank Hawley's NHRA Drag Racing School for her 16th birthday. After a few years in a Super Comp dragster, she moved to Top Alcohol Dragster in 2004 and won three national events, including the 50th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals and the Auto Club of Southern California NHRA Finals alongside her father John. She was also the Division 4 Top Alcohol Dragster champion.
