*In 2008, recorded the quickest time to 1,000 feet, the distance at which Funny Car races have been contested in the aftermath of the June, 2008 death of two-time world champion Scott Kalitta (4.005 seconds).

*Won the 2005 Automobile Club of Southern California Road to the Future Award as the NHRA Rookie-of-the-Year.

*Won his first NHRA POWERade tour event in just his fourth start (Houston, Texas).

*Finished second in points for second straight year, losing the championship by less than one racing round (19 points). 

*Would have won the Funny Car title if the NHRA hadn’t altered the format with the creation of the Countdown to the Championship.

*Started from No. 1 a category-best eight times and posted two quickest times in Funny Car history at 4.646 seconds and 4.635 seconds.

2006
*Finished second in points behind boss and teammate John Force.

*Started from No. 1 a category best nine times.

*Won the world’s oldest, largest and richest drag racing, the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals

2005

*Finished fifth in POWERade points as a Funny Car rookie, earning the Auto Club’s Road to the Future Award as the Rookie-of-the-Year.

*Won his first NHRA POWERade tour event in just his fourth start, beating Cruz Pedregon in the final round of the 2005 O’Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston, Texas.
