This week we have an off weekend from racing so I’ve been spending my time between work and home in Yorba Linda, CA and I’ve been driving around town a new 2010 red Ford Taurus! It’s a beautiful car inside and out and very comfortable without being too big to squeeze into a spot at the local coffee shop! My favorite thing about this car is the exterior. The styling and shape of it is really sleek. It looks sporty and powerful! I love the red color too, it really pops! I actually had a guy literally run up to me in a parking lot while I was out running errands and ask me if that was the new 2010! I let him see the inside and told him how smooth it was to drive. He said and I quote “That is a hot looking ride!” It was a funny incident but not surprising because everyone at work has also made comments about what a beautiful vehicle it is. It definitely gets your attention out on the road and even when it’s parked! When I first hopped in I thought someone was playing a trick on me because there were no keys! I’ve never driven a car with a keyless start. In fact, the only vehicle I’ve driven that doesn’t need keys is my Castrol GTX Mustang Funny Car and that requires nitro methane instead! The 2010 Taurus drives really smoothly and the interior is very…pretty! (That’s the word that came to mind though probably not a word most race car drivers use to describe their car!) The interior is very clean looking and the dash and interior of my Taurus is cream with dark wood panels and looks nice. The backseat is roomy as is the front and the trunk had plenty of space for all the crap I seem to always be taking with me…luggage, shopping bags, fire proof race boots… you name it and it’s probably in my car. The extra space in the Taurus is really convenient and comfortable considering the only other thing you can fit into my funny car ride with me is clutch dust and I usually take that with me when I get out at the end of the run! I’ve really enjoyed driving the 2010 Ford Taurus and am very impressed with what an overall great vehicle it is! I can’t find anything I don’t love about it! And that is a nice problem to have!
