INDIANAPOLIS, IN (September 4, 2009) --- Ashley Force Hood, driver of the Castrol GTX Ford Mustang, will contribute a weekly online diary for USA Today beginning Tuesday, September 8th. This will be the second year in a row Force Hood will share her racing experiences and off-week exploits with USA Today readers. Force Hood provided USA Today with a preview column that is available online at www.usatoday.com/sports/motor.
“Writing the USA Today weekly diary a fun way for me to share some of the behind the scenes experiences I have with my Castrol GTX team. I have the best group of guys and we have a lot of fun at the races. Last year I finished sixth in the Full Throttle points and this year I am hoping for more success in the Countdown to 1. It will be great to share this wild ride with the readers of USA Today,” said Force Hood.
Force Hood was won once, in Houston, with six final round appearances so far this season. She is entering the 55th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals in 3rd place in the Full Throttle point standings.
