INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – It’s a rare off-week for most of the drivers competing in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, but not for John Force, the 14-time NHRA Funny Car Champion.

After testing his Castrol GTX High Mileage Ford Mustang Monday at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill., the 58-year-old icon traveled Tuesday with his youngest daughters, Brittany and Courtney, to the McKinney Corporation chassis works to have them fitted for new A/Fuel dragsters in which they’ll test later this season.

On Thursday, he flies to New York with daughter Ashley to participate in an autograph session at Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, N.J., for Crest Whitestrips Daiily Multicare. He then will fly back to California Friday night so that he can participate in Saturday’s Gary Scelzi and Friends All-Star Challenge in Fresno.

As part of the Scelzi charity event, Force will sign autographs from 2-3 p.m. before serving as honorary flagman for the Saturday night racing program at Giant Chevrolet Raceway at Plaza Park.

Then it’s back to Yorba Linda, Calif., where the 122-time tour winner will celebrate Father’s Day before he and his teammates embark on a nine races-in-nine weeks schedule that begins next weekend in Englishtown, N.J.
