JOHN FORCE AUCTIONS OFF OLD SPICE VICTORY TOWEL FOR CHARITY AS SEEN AND USED FOLLOWING SUMMER NATIONALS WIN
Fans Can Visit OldSpice.com or JohnForceRacing.com to Place Bid on eBay Starting June 2nd – All Proceeds Will be Donated to the Ronald McDonald House
WHAT:
Funny Car racing-legend team John Force Racing – dominating drag racing since 1989 – is partnering with new team sponsor Old Spice to give a lucky fan the chance to win the sweat- and champagne-soaked towel (un-washed) after each victory this season!
Directly after the 20th annual Summer Nationals on Sunday, John Force handed over his Old Spice Victory Towel to a charity auction, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House. The charity auction will run for one week starting on June 2nd. Fans can visit www.OldSpice.com or www.JohnForceRacing.com to get more information and place a bid for the autographed towel on eBay.
BACKGROUND:
Throughout 2008, every time Mike Neff (driver of the Old Spice Ford Mustang) or team members John Force, Ashley Force or Robert Hight win an NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, their Old Spice Victory Towel will be auctioned off for charity.
As the No. 1 anti-perspirant/deodorant stick and body wash choice for guys in the US, Old Spice (NYSE: PG) is a long-time supporter of motorsports. While 2008 marks the brand’s inaugural year as sponsor of John Force Racing, the brand is a familiar force at the racetrack, also sponsoring two-time NEXTEL Cup winner Tony Stewart for the past eight seasons.
Based on the brand’s successful charity towel auctions with Tony Stewart (with proceeds going to The Tony Stewart Foundation), Old Spice is now also auctioning off John Force Racing Victory Towels starting this season.
