Ashley’s Monday Blog- Nov. 2

            My team had a really tough weekend in Las Vegas, struggling all weekend to qualify and then going out first round to teammate Robert Hight. Fortunately we still leave this event 2nd in points because the other cars also stumbled but we are very frustrated that our Mustang Funny Car has a gremlin in it that we can’t seem to catch. Three out of our 4 qualifying sessions our car had the exact same problem and ran on only 7 cylinders the whole way down the track. On Saturday night we thought we’d figured out what was causing it, but first round it still happened. We are testing today and will just keep trying different things until we figure out what is wrong. It’s very frustrating to have such a wonderful season and have one bad race here in Vegas and really lose our strong chance of winning a championship but that is drag racing. We’ll do our best to figure out what’s wrong with our car and get it back to how it’s always raced, consistent and competitive, and strive for a strong finish at the Auto Club World Finals.
