Ashley’s June Blog

Summer is here, which means race season is definitely kicked in to high gear but we had one final weekend at home before 4 straight races and the western swing! My husband Dan and I spent Memorial Day weekend at home and actually cleanout up the backyard, grilled out, and spent a lot of time by the pool with our neighbors and good friends Josh and Jen, and their 1 year old son Quinlan. It was nice to get to catch up with them and spend time at home because between races, a match race, and a 4th of July vacation out of town, we will be on the road for a total of 11 weekends straight! This time of year is always a little crazy but it’s also nice to get into the groove of staying on the road, instead of every other week, or every two weeks. When the races are back to back, you feel more ready to go when qualifying starts Friday, versus coming off a weekend of being at home. I’m excited to race in Chicago because my husband’s family is there, and to race in New Jersey because that is where our sponsor Castrol is base. These next few weeks should be a lot of fun, more so if there are a few winner’s circles involved!
